A good number of ladies always look upto being a mother someday in their lives, but sometimes we don't know what motherhood actually is. As some mothers actually make it look so easy, but still there are some untold stories about motherhood that have been shared with a couple of mothers.
The moment you become a mother is that you indirectly sign up to the possible of becoming a single mother, since not every man is brave enough to take responsibility of their child and raise them to adulthood, normally the mother is the one always left to carry the burden alone as a single mother. For the single mother sometimes it is hard for her to find love and she just got to go through the ghetto. Your daughter might hate you truly and love the absent drinking father, but it's their choice, sad thing is that you can never choose for her who she should love or hate, so you just have to live with it.
No one ever talks about the time you question whether you love your child or not and motherhood is mostly guess work and cluelesson what to do, since sometimes you feel like you're not enough for your child. Which can bring some mental issues to the mother. With motherhood you also sign up to the possibility of death, and maybe never being the same person that you were before childbirth.
With motherhood there is also the possibility of generational trauma being passed down. There's also the quiet resentment of the partner since his life literally doesn't change which makes me curious. How exactly did the father's life change? Do they feel the extra need to provide more? Do they feel like they have lost the partner they once had? Since at the end of the day that are human too.
No one talks about motherhood and alcoholism/drugs. Some mothers have no options but to drown their misery in the bottle. Sometimes mothers mourn whom they were before motherhood forever, as you could leave with medical conditions you never had before motherhood, Diseases like diabetes after pregnancy.
With the way the economy is set up, the formula is expensive, sterilizing bottles all the time can be annoying but hey, it's the baby and sometimes the baby has allergies which you'll discover sooner or later. Breastfeeding is also hard and sometimes it hurts with cracked nipples, bleeding and getting seriously ill with infections like mastitis etc. There's also people's opinions when you opt to formula feed instead of breastfeeding with the judgement that it comes with it.
Motherhood it's not easy, but I know for sure that it gets better. As a mother you should focus on yourself and what you can change. There are many positives about motherhood but today we are telling the untold stories behind it. Sending love to all the moms out here.
