How true is this claim made on Twitter stating the requirements of qualifying for the Hustler fund?
The tweet lists eight requirements that are purportedly needed for one to qualify as a Hustler Fund beneficiary.
The Hustler Fund, also known as the Financial Inclusion Fund, is a proposed policy of the Kenya Kwanza coalition, whose aim is to stimulate the economy by providing free or cheap credit to the average Kenyan.
According to a report from the National Treasury on the Hustler Fund draft regulations, individual applicants are required to be 18 years of age and above, have a national identity card and fulfill any other condition as may be determined by the advisory board.
For SMEs, Sacco societies and any other groups or associations, all members are required to be 18 years of age and above, be registered by the relevant government institution and meet any other conditions as may be determined by the board.
